This workshop helps Algonquin College employees create stronger, more effective resumes and cover letters while using AI responsibly throughout the job application process. Participants learn how to select the most appropriate resume format, structure key sections such as contact information, professional summaries, skills, education, certifications, and work experience, and write impactful accomplishment statements that clearly demonstrate value and results. 

The session focuses on tailoring applications to specific opportunities, identifying and highlighting transferable skills, and avoiding common formatting and proofreading mistakes. Participants also explore practical ways to use AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot to analyze job postings, identify relevant keywords, customize resumes, and cover letters, and strengthen their professional brand. Throughout the workshop, emphasis is placed on ensuring AI-assisted content remains accurate, authentic, and reflective of everyone's unique experience.
